Connecting Wirelessly to the Printers in the Sawyer Library Student Commons: Home

Use this guide to set up printing to the printers in the Sawyer Library Student Commons, located on the 9th floor.

Some Things to Keep in Mind

  • After setup, you must be logged in to Suffolk’s wireless network in order to print. To log in, first ensure that your wireless is on, that you are connected to the ‘Suffolk Student’ wireless network, and that you have logged in with your wireless ID and password via a web browser.
  • If you do not know your wireless ID, please call the helpdesk at 617-557-2000. Library staff are unable to log you in.
  • Sawyer Library recommends setting up at least two library printers in order to have a backup printer for times of high use.
  • Sawyer Library Circulation Staff cannot modify or alter the settings on your personal laptop. If you need assistance, please contact Suffolk IT at 617-557-2000.

Sawyer Library and Operation Paper Cut

This Guide specifically provides directions for installing the printer on the 9th Floor, Library Student Commons.  For your convenience, instructions for installing PaperCut have been dupcliated here.

If you have already installed a library printer on your laptop, you only need to follow the instructions in the first box on your operating system page, under the tab named
Adding the Printers by Operating System.

Need In-Person Help?

Visit the Satellite Walk-In Center in Sawyer Library on the 3rd floor if you are having trouble adding the wireless printers to your personal laptop. The Satellite Walk-In desk is open Mon-Fri from 10:00am - 2:00 pm, unless the University is closed. For immediate assistance, please contact the University ITS "Help Desk" at 617-557-2000.
