- World Bank Open Data This link opens in a new windowThe World Bank is a major source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries. As part of the Open Data Initiative, the World Bank has launched an online, quarterly, Public Sector Debt database developed in partnership with the IMF. Data may be viewed by Topic, Country, or Indicator.

This site provides a snapshot of member countries' development progress, news, and key social and economic indicators. Data Catalog allows cross-country comparisons by Indicator. The user can also view and download data by country and topic.
- -World Bank Group: World Development IndicatorsThe World Bank's searchable compilation of data about development (1960-2009). Includes 420 indicators in table format. This site allows user-defined comparison tables for data and countries. The Millennium Development Goals (UN) seek to expand development, (social and economic) in all countries, and data pertaining to these the goals are presented here.
- OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development)The OECD offers country reports, surveys, and working papers. The Statistics Portal provides annual statistics. Provides some free statistics on the economy, population, social conditions, trade and industry, agriculture, energy, and technology. EUR-Lex is the freely accessible database covering European law. Collections include the Official Journal of the European Union, treaties, international agreements, legislation in force, preparatory acts, and case law.
- NATO e-LibraryThe North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) e-Library provides full-text publications, documents, speeches, articles, official texts, and news.
- Council of EuropeThe Council of Europe is the continent's oldest political organization. Its aim is to promote human rights, rule of law and democracy, and strengthen security. This website offers texts of speeches and texts of documents, including statutes, conventions, declarations, rules, and reports.
