Accessing Online Resources
To access the Mildred F. Sawyer Library databases, enter the Library Home Page, and select "Find Database by..." and choose either our subject-organized list of databases or the A-Z list of database names. Click the database link of your choice and if you are on-campus, you will be seamlessly redirected to the database. If you are off-campus, you will be asked to enter your Suffolk University email username and password before proceeding to the database.
To locate a specific online journal, type the journal title in the eJournals search bar.

The service includes law journals (some beginning in the 1800s), legal classics, Code of Federal Regulations, Session Laws, Federal Register, Treaties, U.S. Code, English Reports, U.S. Supreme Court opinions, Federal agency documents and decisions, and much more.
- JSTORJSTOR provides complete backfiles of over 400 core scholarly journals have been digitized, starting with the very first issues, many of which date from the 1800s. Areas covered include law, political science, and history.
- Academic Search Complete This link opens in a new windowProvides access to a wide variety of journals and periodicals, covering all academic disciplines, including accounting and taxation. Many articles are available in full-text.
- RIA Checkpoint This link opens in a new windowContains outstanding tax and accounting reasearch and primary material. Some primary source examples are AICPA, SEC, GAAP, FASB, GASB, IASB. Expert editorial analysis is provided by RIA, Warren Gorham & Lamont authors, and others.
- Westlaw Campus Research This link opens in a new windowWestlaw Campus Research is a research service that combines a breadth of news with in depth law-related information.
- Index to Legal Periodicals and BooksA bibliographic database with links to full-text databases. Cites articles from legal periodicals and books from 1980 and later. Periodical coverage includes law reviews, bar association journals, institutes and government publications. Includes case citations. Covers legal periodicals published in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
- LLMC Digital - Law Library Microform Consortium DigitalAn on-going digitization project, the site contains a wide range of legal and law-related archival material from state, federal, and territorial governments, as well as from Anglo-American collections, and foreign and international jurisdictions. Material is both primary and secondary.
- CQ MagazineProvides in-depth coverage of the U.S. Congress, including status of bills, votes, amendments, and committee activity. Searchable by topic, keyword, or date.
