Here's the Circulation and Reserves Desk, located next to the library entrance. Come here to use reserve textbooks in the library, check out a laptop, pick up group study room keys or check out books from the circulating book collection.
The Reference Desk is across the room from the library entrance with our reference shelves beyond. Come here for help with library resources or to solve your research questions.
Between the two service desks is the research workstation area. These desktop machines provide word processing software, easy access to Sawyer Library online resources, and printing.
Most of the study space is on 3 and 4. Here is an image of the library's larger study tables on 3, near the microform area. You can see the Poetry Center room in the background of this shot.
There are plenty of carrels and smaller study tables on both floors 3 and 4. Here is an image of a row of study carrels on 4.
We also have 20 group study rooms in the library. The four-seat study rooms are first-come-first-served, open-access. The six seat rooms must be reserved to be checked out. For more on the group study rooms, see this page.
