A search for the term quarantine returns over 10,000 results, - too many to sift through!

Using two search boxes, one concept per box, a search for quarantine AND public health narrows the results to about 1400 articles..

Use the Limit features to narrow the search results. Options include:

• Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals: This is the highest level of scholarship. [Magazines, newspapers, and trade journals are considered to be reliable, but they are not scholarly sources.]
• Limit by publication date, for time sensitive topics.
• Full Text: Limit to only those articles that are available in the full text, - a time saver!

Using one concept per box, combine search terms using the AND (a "Boolean Operator").

• Clicking on the subject term "Quarantine" initiated a brand new search.
• The concept described by either the term civil rights OR civil liberties was added, using the second box. This narrows the search to those articles that contain both search concepts, as defined by the two boxes.
