Opposing Viewpoints: Search options

Use the search box to search for your topic, or select Browse to view a list of topics.

Topic entries will lead to thumbnails for an overview essay, and further down on the landing page, a selection of articles.

Use the CITE button under the Quotation Mark symbol, to capture the essay's / article's citation.

Click Browse Issues to view an alphabetical list of topics that are given extensive coverage in Opposing Viewpoints.

If you have clicked on an overview topic from the Browse Issues list, then scroll further down on the landing page to find a selection of articles from various types of publications: 

  • Academic / Scholarly 
  • Viewpoint / opinion pieces
  • News 
  • Magazines 

Look for the CITE button within each document.

Opposing Viewpoints: Overview Essay

Topics listed under Browse Issues lead to an introductory overview essay. Note the "Cite" button, which will generate the components needed to compose the citation for the works cited list.
