Nonprofits, Philanthropic Organizations and Grant Writing Resource Guide: Library Databases

Information on Nonprofit Organizations and Charitable Groups, as well as Grant Writing

Sawyer Library Databases

Here are several databases that can be useful for nonprofit research.  Keep in mind that other databases might also be useful. If your research relates to the nonprofit status of the nation's universities, for example, then an education database like Education Research Complete might also be a good option. If your organization serves the LGBT community, then try delving into LGBT Life with Full Text. If you were working on a grant for a domestic violence service group, you might want to look in SocINDEX with Full Text for articles on the issue that include data or information you could use in your proposal.  Other Library Guides available through the Subject Lists will help you think outside this box.
