ArtStor Database: Registering for an ArtStor Account

This guide provides basic information regarding registering for ArtStor and sources for information on using ArtStor.

Can I do anything in ArtStor if I don't register?

ArtStor provides three different levels of privilege, depending on whether or not users register, and if they are then granted privileges by their ArtStor administrator.

  • Unregistered users can:
    • Search
    • Print images
    • View the contents of public Shared Folders.
  • Registered users can:
    • Save image groups
    • Add comments to images
    • Register to view the contents of password-protected Shared Folders.
Registration is required to download the Offline Image Viewer.
  • Instructor Privileges users can:
    • Create Shared Folders
    • Add instructor commentary
    • Create Personal Collections
    • Export image groups to PowerPoint.
Only course instructors may request these privileges. To receive them, email the Reference Department at sawlib@suffolk.edu.
