Creating Persistent URLs (PURLs): Nexis Uni

★ Persistent URLs in Nexis Uni are called Document Links.

 Steps:

1. From the results page, click on the article title.

   ---

2. Next to the title, click where it says Actions.

   ---

3. Select Link to this article.

   ---

4. Copy the link that appears in the window that opens.

   ---

5. Add the following proxy prefix to the front of the URL:
   https://ezproxysuf.flo.org/login?url=

   ---

6. Example of a "proxied" persistent link:
   https://ezproxysuf.flo.org/login?url=http://www.lexisnexis.com/lnacui2api/api/version1/getDocCui?lni=5T33-2771-JBM5-R0R7&csi=237924&hl=t&hv=t&hnsd=f&hns=t&hgn=t&oc=00240&perma=true

7. To shorten the link, you may want to plug it into a site like Bitly (http://bitly.com/), which will convert the link into a smaller one that is easier to work with. The links never expire.
