Primary Sources: Original Policy Documents, Written by the Issuing Agency
Using the Library to track down policies.
Your search of the library resources for information relating to policies will most likely result in either articles from reference books (such as CQ Almanac), or articles from journals/newspapers, both of which may discuss specific (government / institutional) policies.
Reference books and journal / newspaper articles are secondary sources.
The wording of the actual policies may (or may not) be reprinted, in part or in whole, as a part of the discussion within the secondary source.
You may need to use the information, provided in the secondary source, to track down the original public policy document.
Be aware of clues to track down, such as Public Law numbers or court case citations.
