Foundation Directory: Results: Grantmakers

Select a Grantmaker from the Search Results

How are search results sorted?

Initial search results are grouped by:

  • Grantmakers (funders)
  • Grants (funded projects)
  • Recipients
  • 990 Forms (information that tax-exempt organizations are required to provide to the IRS.)

Within each group, results are further sorted by specific criteria. Users can change the default sort options by clicking on the various column headings:

  • Within the Grantmaker group, results are sorted in descending order by the grant count (the most active funders): the number of grants awarded (over multiple years) that match the search terms.
  • Take note of the Amount Funded column, which indicates the dollar amount of grants awarded (over multiple years) that match the search the search terms.
