More than 100 years ago, Annie E. Casey was a widow raising her four children near Seattle. Her sacrifice and struggles deeply affected her eldest, Jim, who dedicated his life to creating an enduring legacy of service to children and families in America.

FRAC improves the nutrition, health, and well-being of people struggling against poverty-related hunger in the United States through advocacy, partnerships, and by advancing bold and equitable policy solutions.

We know that hunger is a complex issue, so we're tackling it from all angles. We're working to improve access to nutritious food, expand economic security, and advocate for policies that make it easier for people to get the food they need. We’re part of a nationwide network of food banks, food pantries and community-based organizations in the United States working to create a future where no one is hungry.

The Food Systems Dashboard gives a complete view of food systems by bringing together data from multiple sources. It's now possible to compare drivers, components, and outcomes of food systems across countries and regions, gain insights into challenges, and identify actions to improve nutrition, health, and environmental outcomes.

Welcome to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Office for Food and Nutrition Programs (FNP). We are pleased to work closely with school districts, childcare centers, family day care homes, adult day health programs, Summer Eats community organizations, USDA Foods storage and distribution vendors, food banks, and anti-hunger organizations across the Commonwealth to administer eight Federal Child Nutrition Programs and four Food Distribution Programs federally funded by the United States Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service. We are proud to support our local partners in providing healthy meals and snacks to children, teens and adults across Massachusetts.
