English as a Second Language Resource Guide: Article Databases with some Non-English Content

Although intended for ESL students, this guide also points to general sources on English usage, which are useful for all of us.

Finding & Using Non-English Content

Sometimes reading articles on a topic in one's own language can help with understanding the topic, and thereby with researching the topic in English.

English is the predominant language in the Sawyer Library's periodical databases, however a few newspaper and journal collections do contain some non-English content. Spanish, French, and German are the three languages with the best representation, and to a lesser extent, publications in other languages are also available.
