Using IMF Data
- IMF Statistical Database This link opens in a new windowAccess to macroeconomic & financial data from the International Monetary Fund. Includes domestic and international financial data from 200 member countries from 1948.
The IMF Data section contains a variety of data sets relating to governments and their financial standing, as well as the balance and direction of trade.
However, it is not uncommon that users have difficulty with generating and exporting the reports. Be prepared to try multiple browsers if need be.

IMF eLibrary > IMF Data
The IMF (International Monetary Fund) eLibrary contains "periodicals, books, working papers and studies, and data and statistical tools."
Information is available on "macroeconomics, globalization, development, trade and aid, technical assistance, demographics, emerging markets, policy advice, [and] poverty reduction."
Users may choose from predefined reports, or run queries within or across datasets.
