Moakley Archive and Institute Collections

Suffolk University's Moakley Archive and Institute is home to the university’s institutional archives and special collections. Use the following research collections in the classroom to explore topics related to civic engagement and civil discourse:

  • Congressman John Joseph Moakley Papers: public policy, international relations, immigration, the environment, legislative process, social issues
  • Ford Hall Forum records: forum recordings and documents featuring a wide range of topic  and including speakers such as, Ayn Rand, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Maya Angelou, Daniel Schorr, and David Duke.
  • Moakley Oral History Collection: recordings and transcripts of interviews with members of Congress
  • Moakley Archive Digital Collections: browse digitized content from the collections list above
