First Research

First Research provides great introductory information on industries, it provides who the major players are in an industry, business trends and challenges, financial information and more! As a result, it is a great place to start with for your future projects.

 

Follow the steps to learn how to navigate First Research:

1. Once you click the link for First Research from the Library's Database by Subject list, you have to click the word 'Continue' twice and then the word 'Submit' on the left side of the screen. This will bring you to First Research's Homepage

 

2. In the Search for Industry and Geographic Profiles search bar type in Delivery Services

 

 

3. Then from your Results List select Express Delivery Services

4. You will then arrive at the Profile Overview of this industry. This is where you will find major companies, main topics such as business trends, challenges, and more.

 

5. Scroll through this profile to find the answers for your questions

6. NAICS stands for North American Industry Classification System, and allows for the government to collect data about a specific industry (like Express Delivery Services) so they can determine industry level trends, challenges, growth, and other topics illustrated by First Research
